Take Advantage of Our Annual Adult Library Programs
Our adult programming at the Daleville Community Library is ever-changing. Some of the many adult library programs in Daleville that we regularly offer on an annual basis include:
Seasonal Book Display
A lot of our patrons can’t seem to remember authors and book titles very well, so we always set up a special seasonal book display to promote certain books, subjects, and authors every month to help jog their memory.
Winter Reading Programs (Ages 18 and up)
Local adults are invited to participate in a six-week program to keep track of their reading and earn special prizes during our winter reading program. For every book that you read, you can earn an entry into our weekly prize raffle during the program, which includes prizes and gift certificates donated by several area businesses.
Activity/Arts & Crafts Nights
Various speakers, arts and crafts classes, special events, and community programs are offered periodically. In the past, we’ve hosted Coffee & Canvas Nights, book clubs, crafting circles, computer classes, and more. Interested in hosting a community event at our library? Contact us to check our interest and availability!
Annual Summer Golf Outing
Form a golf team and join us for this popular fundraising event held every July at a local golf course to help raise funds for the library! We serve coffee, donuts and a full lunch!
Food for Fines
Every November, we hold a food drive to benefit various organizations within our local community.
The Giving Tree
Every December, we put up a Christmas tree with ornaments asking for certain items as donations to the library. These items can be anything from basic cleaning supplies to new materials for our patrons to check out. This is very popular among our regular patrons who look forward to it every year!
